THE SET-UP (1949)

In honor of Noirvember, South Coast Cinemaniacs presents boxing film noir, The Set-Up (1949). An aging and washed-up boxer (Robert Ryan) is convinced his latest fight will finally be the one to earn him the "top spot." His wife (Audrey Totter) fearing the damage another bout will inflict begs him to retire. Meanwhile his manager, convinced his client is a perpetual loser, quietly takes a bribe to throw the match to a mob-backed fighter.

The club meets in the library's auditorium. All are welcome! You do not have to live in Fairhaven to join or attend events. Both are FREE to the public.

To easily access the auditorium, please enter the library through the Walnut Street doors. There are both stairs and an accessibility ramp outside of this entrance. The auditorium is the first room to the right after you enter.
